New website suggestions


  • The story of Baldarroch.
  • The Staff. Photos and Appointments of Staff.
  • Jobs.  I will be putting together a job specification and an application form for the vacant Crematorium Technician post later this week.  It would be good if we could put this on the Website.
  • Forms and Documentation.  Such as:
    • PDF copies of the paperwork which is required to be completed by Funeral Directors for applying for a cremation at Baldarroch.  I believe that Brian Smith has already sent you copies of these.
    • Crematorium Rules and Regulations.  I am in the process of writing these.
    • The FBCA Code of Cremation Practise.  I can provide this.
    • Policy Statement Relating to the Cremation of Non-Viable Babies, Stillborn Babies and Very Young Deceased Babies.  I can provide this.
    • A guide to Services.  I will produce.
  • Prices.  The costs of our various services.
  • Such as:
    • A map pin-pointing our location.
    • Directions on how to get here.
    • Bus Routes including timings.
  • Facilities Available at Baldarroch. I am thinking about things like:
    • Parking (for 50 cars and where our overflow areas are).
    • Bicycle Stands.
    • Disabled access and facilities (i.e. parking for 5 cars, level access, disabled toilets and Loop system).
    • Family Room.
    • Toilets (Ladies and Gents).
    • Fresh Flowers in the Chapel (with a mention of the supplier)
    • Our Audio and Visual equipment.
  • Local Amenities:
    • Nearest Bus Stops.
    • Nearest Railway Stations (Aberdeen, Inverurie and Stonehaven).
    • Names and addresses of local cafes who offer funeral teas or indeed just somewhere to go after a service or a visit a memorial.
    • Nearest fuel stations.
  • Such as:
    • Photos of what we have available and the associated costs.
    • On-line application form (I am presently putting together an application form).
  • Frequently Asked Questions.  I will put these together but they will be based in what I am currently posting on Facebook.
  • Photo Gallery. Highlighting the magnificent building and location we have.
  • Events.  Such as Open Days, Annual Memorial Service.
  • Complaints Procedure.  I will produce these.
  • Feedback.  Set up so these can be submitted on-line.
  • Useful Links.  Such as our Facebook page, The Scottish Government and Bereavement Charities etc.
