How To Get To Us From Aberdeen International Airport


Aberdeen International Airport is 16.8 miles away from Baldarroch Chapel and Crematorium.  Unfortunately, there are no public transport routes directly from the airport to Baldarroch Chapel and Crematorium.  Should you wish to travel by public transport you will need to either travel by bus or train into Aberdeen Bus or Railway Station; both of which are located at Union Square in the centre of Aberdeen.  Alternatively, you may elect to travel to Baldarroch Chapel and Crematorium by hire car.  This journey will take between 34 to 36 minutes depending on your choice of route.  To allow you to make an informed choice on which route to use please click here for suggested routes.  Finally, you may wish to use one of the numerous taxi’s that are stationed at Aberdeen Airport, the cost of this will of course be dictated by the company you use.

Travel by Bus – Aberdeen International Airport to Aberdeen Bus Station (Union Square)

If you elect to travel by bus you will need to use Route 727 which will take you to Aberdeen Bus Station (Union Square).  Full details of this route can be found by clicking here.  On arrival you should transfer to either route 201, 202 or 203 which all pass Baldarroch Chapel and Crematorium as they travel along the A93 (North Deeside Road) towards Braemar.  Click on the relevant route further down this page for details regarding timings etc.

Travel by Rail – Aberdeen International Airport to Aberdeen Railway Station (Union Square)

If you elect to travel by rail you will need to make your way to Dyce Railway Station to connect with a Train to Aberdeen Railway Station (Union Square).  However, to get to Dyce Railway Station you need to use the Jet Connect 80 to connect with the trains running to Aberdeen.  Full details of this bus route can be found by clicking here.  The train timings between Dyce and Aberdeen Railway Station can be found by visiting Trainline website which can be accessed by clicking here. 

On arrival Aberdeen Railway Station you should make your way to Aberdeen Bus Station which is situated on the other side of Union Square.  Please use route 201, 202 or 203 which all pass Baldarroch Chapel and Crematorium as they travel along the A93 (North Deeside Road) towards Braemar.  Click on the relevant route number below for further details regarding timings etc.

The Station Wood, Crathes Bus Stops

The Station Wood Bus Stops. The footpath leading to Baldarroch Chapel and Crematorium is immediately next to the bus stop on the left hand side of the picture.

For all of these routes please alight and board the bus at the Station Wood Bus Stop at Crathes. For further information on the Station Wood Bus Stops (i.e. photo, map and details of the next bus) click here for Aberdeen bound buses and here for Banchory/Braemar bound buses.  When you alight the from the bus you will see the road sign for the Crematorium.  Please note that there is an illuminated footpath directly next to the Aberdeen/Stonehaven bound bus stop.  To get to Baldarroch Chapel and Crematorium follow the footpath through the woods for approx 150 meters on exiting the woods you will be at the front gate of Baldarroch.
