Baldarroch Sanctum Memorial

The law relating to cremation requires that ashes are disposed of in accordance with the written instructions of the applicant (usually the nearest surviving relative). At Baldarroch Chapel and Crematorium ashes can be scattered in the garden of remembrance or placed in one of our Sanctum Memorials.  Most graveyards have an area to bury ashes Or they may also be buried in family graves that are full of coffined burials. There is no need to make a hurried decision with regard the final resting place of the remains as we can hold these for up to 1 month free of charge until a decision is made. Should we not be contacted with a decision by the end of the 1 month period you will receive a letter asking if you are ready to go ahead. If you are not simply tell us that you need more time (a fee may be applicable) or we will contact the funeral director. Should a we receive no reply to any decision to this letter then we may legally scatter the ashes within the grounds after giving 2 weeks written notice.
